WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Elissa Slotkin released the following statement on International Criminal Court (ICC) sanction legislation before the Senate:

“Today, I voted against a procedural vote to allow the ICC legislation to come to the floor,” said Slotkin. “I support legislation to push back on their bias against Israel, and voted on this bill in the House — but in recent weeks, our U.S. businesses and allies have raised serious concerns over the text of the bill. For the past week, I’ve been supporting negotiated language that would do less harm. If those negotiations restart in good faith, I will vote to move the bill forward.”
